Becks Timber

Becks Timber was founded in 1932 to supply timber to the building industry and has since expanded to supply a full range of hardware needs to the Tasmanian community. Becks source their timber from local Tasmanian suppliers and in turn supply builders and DIY enthusiasts. Becks also have two truss factories, in the north and south of the state, value adding to produce "Becks Span and Truss System". Britton Timbers

Britton is a name that has been synonymous with sawmilling and the timber industry ever since Britton Bros Pty Ltd was established in the Blackwood rich swamplands of North West Tasmania in 1907. Nearly a century later Britton Timbers is one of the two largest privately owned hardwood sawmill in Tasmania, sustaining 100 full time employees. McKay Timber

McKay Timber was established in the early 1950's as a timber merchant. The company has since diversified to operate three sawmills in Tasmania. These facilities include a timber mill and drying facility at Glenorchy in Southern Tasmania and sawmills at both Triabunna in South East Tasmania and St Helens in the North of the state. The Glenorchy site also operates a timber truss plant and wall framing operation. The company employs a total of 98 employees across the three sites.  Read more...
